Still Sick :(

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

Yup. So, I'm still sick. I thought about going to the gym yesterday, but then I sneezed and my head started spinning and my ears were ringing, so I went home from work and sat on my couch until the urge to go to the gym passed.

Really. It's like I WANT to go to the gym, but I feel so yucky that I think it would actually make me feel worse.

So, I'm taking today off as well. We'll see how I feel by the time Zumba rolls around tomorrow.

The good thing about being sick is that I am craving yummy, homemade, good foods. The bad thing is that I don't feel like making them. I even went to my parent's house yesterday in hopes of a good meal, but mom hasn't been feeling well either and they were talking about frozen pizzas so I came home.

In other news, the weather is changing. This does not make me a happy gal. Have I mentioned that I do NOT like snow? I can feel the snow coming in the air. Soon it will appear in the mountains, and then in the valley, and then I'll have to wear boots and coats and sweaters and scarves and blankets and hats and anything else I can find. Underneath it all I'll probably still be cold.

People tell me I should move somewhere warm. This is true. Unfortunately, I want to be near my family - especially while I'm single. Otherwise my dad will worry and I'll be lonely. Also, moving is expensive. Plus, I like my job.

See? My excuses are certainly not limited to workout and diet!

Hope you feel better soon. I don't like the cold and snow either but live in central PA. That's where my hubby lives and he grew up here so here I stay until he wants to move, or I convince him LOL!. Get lots of rest and stay hydrated. Drink your water and if you eat nothing else, eat Saltines or dry toast. It'll help.

Ugh, that sucks! You know those days when you don't really want to go to the gym and you think, "man, if I just had a touch of a head cold or something I would have an excuse to skip" it's funny how when you ARE actually sick (and definitely more than just a touch from the sound of things!) you really really want to go work out! emoticon

Be nice to yourself, sleep a lot and watch as much bad tv as you can stand. You'll be back in the gym kicking your own butt soon enough!

You can move to Tampa. It's warm here. And we could be friends :)

Hope you feel better soon. I love snow, but maybe that is because we only get it once or twice a year, or have to drive to the mountains to play in it. I am a litte disapponted summer is over already. It always seems like it goes by so fast and then it's 9 or 10 months of cold!

    Heal up soon!

And I also HATE snow. Like I hate nothing else; near phobia. I've always wanted to move somewhere warm, but like you I have family, friends, and a job right in the middle of the Land of Snow.
