Everything Hurts

When am I going to learn that when I eat crap, I feel like crap?

Yesterday, we scattered my Grandmother's ashes out at sea. Since I live the farthest, I left my house at 7:30 to pick up flowers and then meet up with my brother at his house. I ate something before I left, but didn't even think to pack some snacks. :o(

My brother stopped at CVS to pick up some allergy medicine for my nephew and also bought a large back of M&Ms and a cherry cokes - their breakfast!

When we got to my aunt's house, they had dunkin donuts and coffee. I had 2 donuts (I was starving - it was 11:00). When we got back from scattering the ashes, it was 2:00 an I had another dounut. All that fat and sugar, makes my bones and muscles hurt.

We finally go to the diner at 3:00, and I was so hungry that I ordered a big meal with pasta and soup - I ate half of it. I ate the other half when I got home at 7:00, including the piece of cake that came with my meal.

Today, my entire body hurts. Climbing the steps at the train station and walking the 2 blocks to my office was almost impossible.

I'm back on track today, but I'm up almost 4 lbs from last week!!

This has really got to stop! emoticon

It's not the easiest thing to do when having a choice to always take the high road. But now you need to look back and ask yourself what you would do differently? Went into CVS and got some nuts and pretzels (filling and good fats), maybe packed snacks, shared a meal at dinner?
The beautiful thing is there is no one right answer, but visualize what you might have done different to prepare yourself for the next adventure.

Hey there, Good for you for getting back up after that fall! That's life, right, falling down and getting up. We have to remember it's just one day, and not screw ourselves with all or nothing thinking. Celebrate the victories! :)
