My struggles with my weight started in my early twenties after having children. I started on the yo-yo diet roller-coaster. I would lose, and I would gain. Here are some of the crazy, and dangerous ways I have tried to lose weight over the years. All of these things offered me a quick fix, and most of them never delivered:
Laxatives (Very stupid)
Diet Pills (again)
Purging (only a couple of times)
Diet Pills (again :s)
Apple Cider Vinegar (love the stuff but it did nothing for my weight)
Safflower oil (drinking cooking oil...yuk)
Sauna Slimming Belt
Mail Order Diet Pills
I have lost weight by watching what I ate and working out, but I could never stick with it....
...I always thought there has to be an easier way.
My biggest weight gain of 30 lbs came after I quit smoking. I manage to lose that 30 lbs but put back on 35. I started to realize that there is no quick fix and I need to make some lifestyle changes. That is how I ended up here. I was surfing the internet looking for workout videos I could do at home, and I found SparkPeople.
I now have no excuses; I have everything I need to live a healthier life. I know it’s not going to be easy and I have to work at it every single day. I am ready to make the change!!
