Today was my birthday and I took some time off my housework goals. However, I enjoy getting outside my house and I had a few errands accumulated so I took time to do them. My errands were my related tasks of the day, and I batched them and did them all at once. My bank is near Home Depot, which has a donation shack to donate used clothing, so I started by depositing my birthday check, then I dropped off a bag of used clothing. Then I drove to the dry cleaners, which is near the drugstore CVS, and I dropped off two items of dry cleaning, then I bought a few items at the drugstore using it as a convenience store including one item I was out of that I'd usually have had to have gotten at the grocery store.
I spent some time reading in the sun out on the deck, however partway through that I didn't feel like doing that and I did feel like looking at planners so I drove to Staples and did an office supplies run. I managed to find a duster that looks like a mitt with a smooth microfiber side on one side and little stringy things on the other side for just two dollars and one white microfiber cloth for using to wipe things. Recently I found a set of four colored cloths I had bought at Aldi hidden under my sink and I had washed them today so I put the five different colored cloths in a kitchen drawer and decided to use them for cleaning.
I started a teacher's planner with an eight column grid that i decided to use as a 2 x 8 grid for organizing housework into types of tasks. Two days of housework fit on one week. I filled in several areas today as even "Desk Day" had an entry as mail came in and a check went out of my to be filed pile.
I had a hot bath early and decided to go to bed and read early as my birthday treat of some well earned relaxation. In the book I was reading today, "The 80/20 Way" it recommended two to three hours of relaxation a day. So I am thinking two hours a day and I'll rewrite my daily routine cards with two hours of relaxation from now on.
Tomorrow I will catch up on my email and follow up on the recent activity on Spark and go back to logging my diet and exercise on Spark People.
