9/24/2012: -0.6 lbs and Goal #2 Met!

Monday, September 24, 2012

Starting weight 8/06/2012: 201 lbs
Last week: 193.6 lbs
Current week: 193 lbs

I have met my second goal of being 193.2 lbs or under! This is important because it's the lowest I have weighed in 2012 (and probably 2011). Also, this marks 8 lbs lost! It was only 0.6 lbs for the week, but I am super thrilled with meeting another short term goal. My next goal is 189.8 lbs and being done with the 190s for good!

My exercise was ok last week. Still only walking and only at work, but 15-45 minutes each work day. Eating was up and down, and one really bad day. I get depressed on Fridays when I have to work the weekend. Ended up doing major damage at lunch, and even ate a Twinkie for a snack! Got it back together by dinner though, and did well through the weekend.

My birthday is in 6 weeks and we are going to a resort/ casino to celebrate. I want to lose 8 lbs by then and be 185 lbs! That would be a fantastic gift to myself, don't you think? 8 lbs in 6 weeks doesn't sound that tough. But right now I am not on pace to do that. I lost most of the weight so far the first two weeks and have been trending slowly downward ever since. I have eaten better than I have in years and more exercise than I have in years, but I am not quite getting the 1 lb a week I am aiming for (if you don't count weeks one and two). So, I obviously need to do something more. Days off kill me because I have a hard time behaving. Every other Friday is killing me because I would rather curl up in a fetal position and perish than face anything, let alone weight loss. And I am going to have to find more exercises I can do at home for my days off.

Goals for the week:
Lose 1 lb!
Find one new exercise I can do at home.
My reward for reaching goal #2 is to buy someing exercise related for the house, so do it!
Eat at home more. I am doing better, but still needs tweaked.

Sounds like you are (mostly ;D ) on track and doing really well!

It takes a while to get into the swing of things, but you are adapting quickly. Every day is a new opportunity to make a good choice, and it slowly becomes easier and easier. Keep at it! I think your goal is totally attainable. If you get too frustrated, just take a deep breath and look at your trackers. Between fitness and food trackers, you may find something you can easily change!

Woohoo!!! Just remember that any loss is still a loss, and look at that, the lowest weight you've been all year! :-)

I only walk at work too, but I make sure to get a good 30 min walk in, and that is working! :-) I look forward to hearing about reaching 185 lbs! :-)

Check out the SP fitness videos (look under the Healthy Lifestyle tab on your main page). There are a ton of quick 15 minute workouts you can do at home that don't involve equipment. It's easy to track them and you can pick whatever you like and squeeze one or two into your week's routine. I definitely think picking up exercise will help. The more your body gets used to a routine, the less calories it will burn.
