Push That Tush -- What's Your Activity Level

emoticon PUSH THAT TUSH -- Time to Get Serious

TO MYSELF...I keep trying to reinforce the concept that
while calories play a HUGE role in the BATTLE OF THE BULGE...
ACTIVITY is the magic that gets things MOVING

{... you know the pun was on purpose...}

But it's true ...nonetheless

So once again I took a look at my info and my activity level
to see what affect it has...

I've done this before, but my INNER CHILD keeps erasing it from my memory because SHE doesn't like exercise.
And for me (a big and tall gal)
if I want to stay where I am {...forgedaboutit...}
my basic daily calories are around 2000.
I eat between 1200-1400 calories a day...and stay stable.
Eat more and I gain.....Eat less and I stay the same.
Eat anything with STARCH OR SUGAR and I gain.
{ Dr Phil would put it..."How's that working for you?"...}
Each additional level of activity affords me an extra 230 calories.

So the answer for ME is staying away from 'sugar',
cutting way back on starches,
and {...ta da...} EXERCISING ...So that I can reach my goals.
I know ... BIG SURPRISE...but it is true.
Besides the fact that EXERCISE is the MAGIC to
looking Younger { I'll go for that},
feeling, and living BETTER.

    Mentally, I know that I have to change how much I eat and that I have to move to lose.
But there are days when that is so hard to follow. When I started this journey I lost
25 lbs. But now I have stagnated and gained 7 lbs in the last month. I know that a lot of this is due to stress bacause of my husband's bout with bladder cancer. His recovery
is very slow. His doctors think that he should be further along. But enough about this.
I just wanted to thank you for these blogs.

    My weight is losing and gaining the same 3 lbs for weeks. I need to find a way to lose more and move my pounds to a new "balance" level.

    Love the pic of the elderly couple. You always get me thinking and laughing too. It's like being healthy is the car. Gas (food) fuels the engine, but the car wouldn't go without oil (exercise). The trick is to buy a car that you really like driving (find some way to move that you really enjoy) and don't get any speeding tickets!

    I haven't been able to do my normal exercise routine lately due to foot injuries and now a nasty cold. Hopefully I will be able to breathe again soon and exercise without coughing so I can get back to my normal routine. I MISS IT! I hope you have a great week Sheryl!

    OMG . . . my evil inner child is a twin to yours (I think you have a lot of evil twins from the comments! LOL) And DEFINITELY that's the "fair godmother" I'm left to deal with! I laughed so hard I think it HAS to count for SOME kind of exercise points!

You are genius! HUGS

    We must be sisters *LOL* our inner children at least as I don't like exercise either. I have had a BAD weekend as far as exercise and emotions.
Thanks for the reminder! Nicely done again!

    My inner child must be your inner child's twin! LOL

She absolutely sees no reason to sweat. I'm not lazy either. I work very hard physically on remodeling 4 homes. But, if you stick the word exercise in there......well, you know....
