Well. I disappeared there.
I caught the crud, sadly, and spent last week getting myself back to 100%. I babied myself a little more than I normally would because this week begins clinical rotations (which is why I'm blogging at 6:12am - I've been up since 4:45am for a workout!) and I need to be healthy for those.
We've made several changes (we being hubs and myself) recently, including a few food decisions. I did calorie counting for a bit and discovered that I actually sucked at getting my calories most of the time - the amount I needed, especially to keep pace running, was NOT the amount I was getting. Also, I suck at getting protein. I'm great at fruits and veggies and grains but I downright SUCK at getting enough protein so we now are keeping hard boiled eggs in the fridge. Also, we created a shared Google calendar for meal planning and are doing this weekly. We meal plan on Saturdays so hubs can do a major grocery run Sunday and we know what the week has in store for dinner. We also use this calendar to remind us to do things like take chicken out of the freezer the night before, which sounds excessive but it works.
Okay, off to shower, have tea, and review a bit before I need to leave for the clinic.
