Alright, well today started off great -- got a good hike in this morning (great cardio -- woohoo!), but something got out of whack this evening and I slipped up eating some total junk food (slipped back to bad habits) and before I knew it, I was over my daily calories by almost 300 calories! AACK.
But all is not lost..
1) At least I got some good exercise in this morning, so hopefully that will sorta counterbalance somewhat, and 2) I did manage to eat well for most of the day, including increased veggies and fruits (part of my fast break goals) and whole grains, 3) I did track my "bad" food too, which I think helped lead me to stop munching on junk food before it got too much worse, 4) I'm human and I'm allowed to make mistakes, and 5) So I've pressed the reset button and managed to get through the rest of the night by drinking lots and lots of water.
Tomorrow is a fresh new day, and I'm armed with a better plan ahead of time. So I'm not going to let this be the undoing of my first week of hard work. Going to get in some more exercise tomorrow morning and go from there.
I was planning to blog about perspective, but given my level of energy (tired), I'm going to save that for tomorrow instead. *grin*
In the meantime, it's been a long day so I'm headed to bed and going to read my book.
