We went to Orlando yesterday to meet up with the sister of my husbands oldest friend. He past away this year so it was very important to reconnect with her! She is an important person in getting gluten free knowledge into the food industry. Having celiac I wanted to talk to her for hours to gain just a little of her knowledge! My hubby and her talked about the old days and everyone the use to know. We dined at a wonderful place Cuba Libre! While the food was not low calorie what a treat to be in beautiful establishment where we weren't rushed and sat and talked undisturbed long after dinner was over. Having celiac eating is dicey and we usually stick to Longhorns or Outback. Last night was such a treat, I tried my first mojito- yummy beyond belief! The best black bean soup ever, pulled brisket-which I'd never had before, and flan-which I also hadn't eaten before. We all shared the dessert. The staff was super knowledgeable about gluten free and all around superb. What a great night out:-) :-)
On the down side I came home and craved junk and sadly ate it too!
