BLC 20 - Weekend Challenge: Focus on Nutrition

One of our challenges for this weekend on Violet Venuses team is as follows: Indulge yourself! Exercise self control with a half serving of that tempting treat, and put the rest away!
This made me nervous because having a little bit of something delicious just opens the floodgates and soon I've stuffed myself with it. My hubby has all sorts of snacks and sweets, and yesterday I was craving Oreos. I took one Oreo out of the package, went and sat down. I smelled it for a couple of minutes. Just held it up to my face and smelled it. It smelled so good. Then I took a few little nibbles and savored the flavor. With about 2/3 of the cookie remaining, I shoved it in my mouth to satisfy that urge to wolf it down. And I was satisfied. I didn't desire another one, and I didn't have that overwhelming feeling that I need another one. A half serving of Oreos is one cookie...
