So I cried at the airport. Cried on the plane, and when I landed, I was smiling. We went to see my mom and she actually looked MUCH better than I thought she would. She smiled at me. And held my hand. I think that is the best she can do to let me know I am familiar to her. I am ready to meet with the hospice staff tomorrow.

I ate nuts and a banana at the airport after having tomatoes for breakfast.

While my dad was napping, I went to Whole Foods got corn on the cob, yogurt, nuts and berries, and all the fixings for veggie soup (onion, cabbage, pepper, mushrooms, celery, carrots, okra and zucchini, tomatoes and organic broth). I am going to make a huge pot of soup so I can have it a couple of times a day...And tonight we had salad and fresh corn on the cob (organic, not Monsanto's version....)

So back on track with eating. Off the pity pot and I am going to make this a GREAT visit!

It must be such an emotional overload for you! And to be able to focus on healthy food is great. Soup was such a good idea! Hope your dad will share it with you!! Nice to hear your mom had a good response to you. Try to enjoy your time with your family but know that it's OK to cry and feel your feelings! Sending hugs to you and your parents!
