Gosh, after all the reflecting on life and thinking about deep things it's refreshing to have a simple blog prompt to deal with
22. What is your current workout/fitness routine?
Proud to say this isn't my big issue. Chocolate, spaghetti, candy, etc. things like that, they require much more explaining!
But my workout routine...I've been pretty darn consistent for at least 20 years.
Five days a week, one hour every mornin'
A lovely, sweaty start to my day. I used a Nordic Track for about 7 years, then switched it up and started running on a treadmill about 3-4 miles a day.
After knee and then ankle surgery my surgeon put the cabash on running and we bought an elliptical trainer that's kind of a hybrid because it mimics the circular motion of running. That's been my machine of choice for about 8 years now.
I'm not an outdoor girl. Hated running outside. Just ick! Sorry for all you nature lovers - I do love nature, but my exercise routine requires mindless entertainment to endure.
So, I've got my DVR and I record all those 'guilty pleasure' t.v. shows. Project Runway, sitcoms, home improvement shows, and yes, the Biggest Loser. Five days a week I hop on my elliptical at 5:30 a.m. and watch t.v. while I work up a great sweat.
On the weekends and a few times during the week the dog likes walking in the park - and hubby and I have been taking 20+ mile bike rides on Saturday mornings.
So the workout for me is set. If only I could be that consistent with good eating habits!
