So, when I mapped out my plan, I not only set mini weight loss goals for the journey, but I also made a list of about how much I wanted to weigh each week on my weigh in day from now till June 22nd. I am not naive enough to think that I can hit each week exactly as I hoped for, but it's more of a guideline so I will know if I am on track for my main goals. Today is my first weigh in day since I started and ... I MADE IT! I lost 7 pounds this week!!! I am SO excited!!!
I know that it's easier to lose more weight the first week or two of any weight loss plan. I know it will slow down drastically. I have 1 or 2 pounds a week as my average goal. But I wanted a good jump start and I won!!! And looking back on my food log, I know that I have done this in a realistic and healthy way. This gives me the encouragement and momentum to keep going!
That is a really good jump start and I also like what you mentioned about hitting the mark. I think too many of us get too down on ourselves when we don't quite hit it and you are very understanding of fluctuations. Good reminder for the rest of us, it came on time for me.
