Okay, let me start by saying that my sister’s name is Becca, and she is the most efficient person I know. She is all things organized, crafty and clever. So any time I do something organized, crafty and clever, I am being Beccaficient, see?
So I saw a thing on Pinterest : Someone had used chalkboard paint on drinking glasses so their guests would have their names on their own glasses. Well, we’re not the most social people, but it made my brain start working. I have a glassed-in cabinet in my kitchen with jars of grains and beans and nuts and flours. Usually I slip a piece of paper into the jar that says what it is, though occasionally I do forget. I’m sure you can see where this is going!
I was so totally Beccaficient last weekend that I not only bought the chalkboard paint, tape and brush, but I USED THEM ALL! Now I know at a glance whether those are Navy Beans or Lima Beans; cracked wheat or kasha, caraway seeds or anise seeds.
It's a small thing, I know, but I have to admit I'm pretty proud of myself!
