Today is Day One. Let's See How it Goes....

Day One with Spark People: I tried Spark People once about six years ago! Wow! What a transformation in the site. Have been with Livestrong, but could not get it to sync with my iPhone so decided to look at SparkPeople again to see if it would work better. So, I'm starting all over again. Even though I didn't expect to go back to the beginning, it's nice in a way. Being six years older has brought new, unexpected challenges. During a stressful period last year, my weight mushroomed up an additional 15 pounds unexpectedly. What happened? I was always a slender person. Never had to watch my weight. But now! Oh, my! Water in my feet! What's this? Getting old!! GERD! FAT! So, okay. I'm the only one who can change these things. Found a new hypertension doctor. Changed my meds. Back to rollerblading 8 miles at least five times a week. Going to add upper body exercises. The rollerblading has not taken off any weight even though I've been doing it for almost two months already. Got to stop succumbing to 11 p.m. sugar cravings. Got to stop snacking when I reach rough spots in my work. Today is Day One! Let's see how it goes.
