Setting some goals

Friday, September 21, 2012

To help overcome the struggles, I am setting a few goals. I typically am drinking water, tracking my food, exercising.

Short-term goal: Between 9/21 (today) and 9/30 (next Sunday), I will stick to the calorie & carb range assigned to me 3 days out of the next 9 days.

Long-term goal: There are three months left this year. I am not sure what to expect of my self, but I would like to lose 10 lbs over the next three months (Oct-Nov-Dec). This may be too "easy" but we shall see.

It feels good to not be floating goal-less.

Spunky, I always smile when I read your blogs. You are exactly right, we need those little goals to have a reason to do what we are doing. Yeah, I know we are doing it for good health and weight loss, but when those reasons are too big and grand we need a reachable goal that is within seeable reach. I have two boys with Add & one has Adhd. They always had alot of trouble with assignments that were out there a long ways off. They thought they could do them the week they were do but we all know those kind of assignments take alot off prep work to do. So I always helped them break them into bit sized pieces so they could deal with the here and now and then little by little they had it all done without killing themselves at the end. I had to be reminded of that myself. I have a goal of weight loss by Christmas as well as some fitness exercises added. Little bit sized goals lead to the bigger ones.

Luv ya, as usual you are on the right track!! WTG

my sister walks 15,000 steps a day at 63 years old and has lost 105 pounds. she went from a size 24 to a size 10. all her health issues dropped off as the 105 pounds dropped off.

i gave up grain and sugary products and have lost 44 pounds at age 60. i went from a size 18 to a size 10 shorts and medium tops from a 1 or 2x.

we are both still loosing weight until we reach our goal
