Last Saturday I participated in my first ever mud run. It was a fundraiser for the Girl Scouts and it was called the Tough Cookie. There were 14 obstacles along the way of a 5K run. At the end of the race we received dog tags and a box of girl scout cookies. I did the run with 25 of my fellow Fit Fun Bootcampers.
The obstacles were:
High Heels (tires)
Hanging Tough (8 ft slanted wall with ropes)
Slippery when wet (slip n slide)
Upsy Daisy (5 ft wall)
The Brownie (5 ft wall)
Helpful Steps (steps and rope repel)
Big Blue (WI national guard inflatable obstacle course)
The Ambassador (8 ft wall with hand & foot pegs)
Tough Cookie Fishnets (cargo net)
Bridging Ceremony (hurdles increasing in size)
Kneading Dough (low crawl through mud)
Cleopatra's Pyramid (straw bales)
Dirty Dancing (muddy area)
Cookie Dunk (Mud Pit)
We had so much fun! Here are some pictures of the adventure.

If you ever have a chance to do a mud run I would highly recommend doing it. I have thought about doing the tough mudder before but that one just seems to be too painful. I have found there a quite a few (at least in this area) that are not quite that intense. This was a whole lot of fun and anyone could make it through. Well I may not be a tough mudder...I am one Tough Cookie!!
Our team won a prize for being the largest team signed up. Here is most of the group after we finished the run.
