Wow, I never thought that I could feel so good after a workout but amazingly I do. That zumba class that my friend gave last night was absolutely what I needed. I totally hate any form of exercise but the choreography that she did and her playlist was fabulous! Not to mention that it was great to be able to experience this with friends! We all knew each other and we were in a familiar environment which made it that much easier to let down our guards, not to mention our inhibitions lol
But wow I am so s.o.r.e... my butt cheeks hurt, my right knee hurts but I am still in a good mood. It is helping me to stay focused on eating healthy today and doing what I have to do to lose weight. I didn't have time to really eat before the class so I grabbed a slice of wonder bread and some cheese and headed out the door... when I came home it was almost 9 and I really didn't want to eat so late to have the food just sit in my stomach all night so I made a quick grilled cheese sandwich and a small glass of chocolate milk while I completed logging in my exercise and food into SP. What was amazing is that if I hadn't made to the choice to eat at least something then I would've burned more calories than I consumed! That hasn't happened to me ever. As it is I was still under my calorie range by 194, I consumed 1,166 when I should have consumed at least 1,360 and I burned 1,052 so I gotta watch out and stay in range.
So I am pleasantly pleased and now can't wait for next week's class. I will continue logging in my walking points daily (I commute like most New Yorkers so we get our exercise by going up and down the train stairs and walking all over the place to get to and from work) and walking for at least 30 - 45 mins during my lunch break. Lets see if I will finally take advantage of my team's practice tonight and dance with them a bit.
