Here is the challenge my team is doing this week:
Azure Destinations Passport to HappiNESS Challenge
Join us for an Azure Destinations tropical cruise as we sail island to island! This is an ongoing challenge where we will sail into a different port each FOCUS week. We are now docking at the beautiful island of Hawaii! Earn your passport stamp as you FOCUS on your own happiNESS!
This week’s FOCUS theme is: Back to Basics (Log your meals, Drink your water, Exercise)
FOCUS weeks are all about developing the healthy habits that lead to our own happiNESS. We find happiNESS as we work on goals in these four areas:
Sleep & stress relief
How do you earn your passport stamp for Hawaii?
1) Work on each happiNESS area over the strongend:
Sunday=Sleep & Stress Relief
(NOTE: Azure is flexible and you may pick any four days of the challenge week to FOCUS on your happiNESS if the strongend is inconvenient.)
2) You get to decide what your goals are for each of these areas. Remember to push yourself so that you are making progress! And remember to have fun with it!
3) Report back on the Azure chat thread using this seashell saying that you participated and what your specific goals are.
4) Extra! Extra! Blog or post in the Azure chat thread about the FOCUS topic & either how you plan to or how you did work the topic into your happiNESS goals for this week and you'll earn some personal attention from a special bartender and some island goodies too
Tomorrow I am off work. I have a diabetes checkup with my doctor, and after that I will be leaving town to spend the weekend with my mom in Iowa. The Sparkfriend element is going to be tough until I get back since I won't be online that much. I will just have to do the best I can when I get back to the regular routine on Monday. Also the tracking food and exercise may be a challenge as well, So whatever my goals are, they should involve something other than being online. Or I can write things down and enter them when I get back to town on Sunday night or sometime Monday.
My goals for the challenge:
Friday:Nutrition-eat healthy, no junk, track food
Saturday: Exercise-Workout 60 minutes doing a Zumba dvd
Sunday: Sleep and Stress Relief-Sleep at least 8 hours, 60 minute Zumba DVD helped the stress relief
Monday:Sparkfriends- Leave a comment on at least one teammate's page or give a Sparkgoodie. Read through their page while there.
Goals for week 2 in general fitting in the Focus topic of the week:
Nutrition: Track food, eat healthy 80 percent of the time, 20 percent allowed for splurges
Exercise: Work out 5 out of 7 days doing 60 minutes of a Zumba dvd on those days, do 300 fitness minutes
Sleep and Stress Relief: Sleep at least 7-8 hours a night, stress relief-exercise, play on facebook(but not too much), listen to music, dance, or watch tv(but not too much)
