Sparkatunities: Taking Advantage

Sparkpeople is such a blessing to me. It just keeps getting better, too! emoticon There are so many sparkatunities. I'm only going to mention a few on this blog.

The very day it was announced I joined the Fall 5% challenge. For me the challenge of losing 8 1/2 pounds is going to be fun. The excitement is already in the air. Excitement = motivation in my book.

Another sparkatunity I signed up for today is the Trick or Treat Virtual Trot. I have pledged to do the 5k walk/jog on October 28th. Last spring I did the 5k walk challenge. Time to add a little ummph to my workout. I have a feeling hubby is going to be on many of my training walks, too. That warms my heart.

What great timing to have the two going on at the same time. emoticon

On top of that SP has so many exercise videos to choose from. It's like having personal trainers in my parlor with me. emoticon It's great to be able to work on on my schedule in whatever clothes are comfortable. Not to mention they're free!

Teams are so important to me, too. There are so many. I admit, I've joined some and dropped some. That's ok. Sparkatunity strikes again because it is part of the tailoring to fit my life-style. I am now involved in some very supportive teams in good times and bad. The folks on them are like neighbors to me. They are real people who are honest and willing to share. Some I even feel like I've known personally for years.

emoticon I'll continue to take advantage of as many sparkatunities that I am able to take on.

    I agree about SP. Love it! I've done the same thing with the teams...I think a lot of people join up to a lot of teams at first, and then figure out which ones are the most helpful. No way for me to stay active on a large number of teams no matter how good they are. Seems like the teams I've stayed on are the ones with smaller numbers where I've gotten to know people.

Have fun with the 5% and the Virtual Trot!
