I had a great day. Worked with some really "active" students, so there was no dull moment in my day. I have been thinking about the benefits of standing. In one of the Spark Live meetings, we discussed about sneaking in exercises and I decided to stand rather than sit, whenever I have the opportunity. Recently, I have been standing in the classroom at every opportunity, even when I didn't need to. For example, my students took a quiz yesterday and for all the 3 periods, I stood for at least 70 minutes each, at a stretch, I sat for some 5-10minutes between each standing period. I however don't know if I did burn any/much calories. I also was walking, intermittently, around the class, though it was more of standing. I will research and see the advantages of standing rather than sitting.
My Challenge question today is: "When was the last time you ate fast food?"
Response: I recall blogging about Fast Food and I a couple of weeks ago. I do not eat Fast food. In fact, the only memory I have about it was a piece of chicken I ate that was bought from KFC, about 2 years ago. I have never had interest in fast food, except maybe, if the snacks I make at home can be classified as fast food. I love to cook . I cook and love to eat different African dishes. I have no problem with Fast Food and it has never being an issue for me. Sedentary life was my major problem until now.
Thanks for reading, tomorrow is another day, by His grace!
