Nutri-Bullet: Nutri-Blast Feast Days 2 and 3

Wednesday, September 19, 2012

So, we are coming to the close of Day 3 on our Nutri-Blast Feast. This evening we did break our fast to eat a meal of salad and a grilled chicken breast. We plan to continue 2+ Nutri-Blasts per day to replace the same number of meals/snacks. The reason for breaking the Feast tonight really was simply that we hadn't experienced a ton of detox symptoms (like we thought we would by day 3) so we decided that our choice in a dinner that was healthy wouldn't hurt us.

I chose to go on the Feast in the first place as a detox and cleanse. I definitely felt the effects of the juicing quickly: fogginess, fatigue, minor headaches, and a couple of other things. I didn't however experience any intestinal or other digestive issues, for which I am thankful.

We tried various types of combinations for our Nutri-Blasts, including spinach (my favorite dark leafy green for a juice/smoothie), kale, collard greens, celery, carrot, tomato, lemon, orange, strawberries, grapes, apples, pears, bananas, almonds, almond milk, cashews, etc. Most of the combinations were delicious and well-received by everyone. I had one epic fail...an attempt at a Homemade V8...yuck, it went down the drain. Sorry. :(

Anyway, for now that's the progress. We'll weigh in and check in again at the beginning of next week.

We've had the Magic Bullet for years and it is plenty powerful for milk shakes or iced coffees.

Today I got the MagicBullet® NutriBullet™ whch is a lot larger and more powerful and breaks down anything you put in it, from fruits and vegetables to nuts and seeds and mixes it in a really nice and creamy emulsion.

A HUGE difference.

I intend to drink 1 or 2 NutriBlasts™ a day for nutrition blast as well as for weight loss purposes.

I will still use the Magic Bullet for my milk shakes and iced coffees, but for the fruit and vegetable NutriBlasts™ I absolutely LOVE the NutriBullet™

PS - I bought mine at WalMart @ $100

Drastically changing our eating habits like that is definitely a challenge. Your dinner sounds delicious. I would like to find a good recipe for homemade V8. If you could make it without all the sodium of the name brand it would be delicious AND healthy!
