Off the Wagon

My weight is back to where it was before I lost 15lbs. This dissapoints me but I'm trying to stay loyal to spark people and trying to watch what I eat. I feel like I'm just a step or two away from totally letting myself go. I've been exercising but it seems like part of the time, I'll blow it off just because I don't feel like doing it. I love to cook and do better if I eat my food but there are so many temptations at work. And I hate to track my food. UUUghhh!

Anything worth having is worth working for. You were obviously successful before (having lost 15 lbs), what changed? It may seem easier to let go and go back to what you were doing before. But I have to ask you, is it really easier? Is it easier to continue to put on weight and be unhappy with yourself? Is it really easier to be physically bigger and harder to get around?

I have a sign hung up at my desk at work that says: Losing weight is hard. Maintaining weight is hard. Staying overweight is hard. Choose your hard.

Tracking what you eat can be a pain the the butt some days. Planning takes some time too. But it works if you want to lose weight and get healthy. Only you can decide if you are willing to make the weight loss program work. It's not going to be easy, but it will be worth it. At least it was for me. Your weight may not be down every week as you figure things out. There are a lot of lessons to be learned along the path to a healthy weight and lifestyle. I hope you continue, but if not I wish you happiness in what ever you chose.
