Down the road 10,000 steps aday.

Tuesday, September 18, 2012

WOW I have now completed 5 Full days of walking 10,000 steps a day. All of the sudden I just felt my 6000 step goal was too weak. Sunday night at 8:00pm I only had 6154 steps,I went out and walked the block 4 times to get over 10,000 steps. It as still hot out 100* so when I came home I was hot and sweaty so I jumped in the pool and swam for 15 minutes.
Monday night I was closer to my goal. 8051 steps were quickly converted to 10,000 with just a few laps around the block. I swam for 20 minutes when I returned home. Thats 5 more minutes swimming than sunday!
Today it is bearly 10:30 am and I am over 6000 steps. I May have to bump my goal beyond 10,000 steps aday. But I will start working on increasing my swimming by 5 minutes a day!

Never give up and always Believe in yourself!

Awesome!! I love finishing off the day in the pool too. That is the one good thing about the weather still being hot outside, at least the pools are still warm, lol.

That's amazing! From 6,000 to 10,000 in just a week! I wouldn't bump your goal up too quickly from there, though. Wait until you can reach the 10,000 regularly without having to "catch up" at the end of the day. I waited almost 3 months until I felt I was ready, even though I was getting 12,000 regularly. You just don't want to move the goal too soon and then get disappointed when you don't make it one day. Shoot for the streaks - 5 is fantastic, but can you imagine what 30 would feel like?

Again, way to go!! All that walking and then some swimming on top!

I like swimming after bike riding. It helps your metabolism to speed up further.
