Saturday September 15th 2012

This is a little story about Lisa and Paulette's visit. I picked Lisa up at her Hotel (we're not mentioning any names here) and took her up to Lake Tahoe for the day! I asked her in advance if she was interested in doing any fitness together and I was happy when she said Yes! Muahahahaha emoticonLittle did she know what I had in store for her!

At one of the Beaches. The sand is very coarse, not like "sand" but like tiny rock.

Here we are. Trying to do a self portrait in the wind. ready, 3... 2... 1...smile! Lol!

The water is just beautiful!

At Lake Tahoe, the Pine trees come right down to the water.

Regans Beach. Lots of Weddings are held here.

Emerald Bay. The castle is down this mountain at the lake level.

Here's some of the trail down to the castle. Going down wasn't any problem. The hike back? Well I think Lisa could have kicked my butt if she had the strength to do it! Lol!

At last! We made it to the Vikingsholm Castle!

This is the back of the Castle that opens up to the beach.

This is the view of Emerald Bay that this Castle has! Just beautiful!

More views of the Castle

The front of the Castle

This is the Front Door. It's kind of cool, huh?

This wing has a flower bed on the roof. There were several wings that wraped around to make a complete circle.

This is the car enterance. They would drive under the archway around the pond to the front door.

Some of the detail of the Archway.

The spikes coming from the eaves, were to keep the evil spirits away. Notice the log roof?

See the detail on the eaves?

There's Lisa looking in the window of the "Morning Room" (one of the rooms that we weren't allowed to walk into)

Now to hike back up this mountain to the car. It's only 1.5 miles up. We can do this!

That's it. We made it back up to the top. now just another 1/2 mile to the car.

One more peek at Emerald Bay before we go. Ahhhh.....absolutely breath taking!
