Would I waste time???

Monday, September 17, 2012

Sparks Coach asks that we blog about ways we waste time....I try so hard NOT to!! I even read when on the potty!! I get frustrated when computer doesn't go to next item quick enough and life is so very full right now ...but maybe being full and not wasted are not necessarily the same thing??? I need to look at my time usage honestly and think on these things... and I need to agree that thinking is NOT wasting time ... plan, think, succeed and re plan...

After thinking about this and reviewing your sharings, I really do believe I do NOT waste much time in my daily activities fact I need to just schedule in MORE down time to think, sort feelings, ideas and plans...getting a new dayplanner to do that kind of thing with and looking forward to it!

Sometimes the "good things" we do are a waste of time. I pray "God-things" for you that supply rest when rest is needed, activity where it is required, and relationships to top each day. Hugs!

I have used the Daytimer system for decades now. When I first started, I wrote down every activity. Once I looked at that, I discovered ways to better use my time. I also learned to schedule what I wanted to do. It is amazing!

My thoughts are that so many people are totally stressed out by constant activity these days and few have the luxury of resting and relaxing...time with God is rushed....all which are so vital to reduce stress and keep us healthy.
We need down time...time to sit and contemplate our navel as my mom used to say....just to "be" without constant stress of is way too rushed these days...
I do not consider relaxing wasting is a necessity.

Interesting...wasting time...I think that we are so pushed to just be busy in the world today and need to slow down and relax and take time off. Our bodies need to exercise, our brains need to be engaged and our days need to be full of service and care of our families and ourselves. BUT...we also need to stop filling every moment to the max and just stop and breathe and see the world around us. We need to just take moments and BE. We are created by the creator to be creative and enjoy His creation. So I don't know how one would really describe wasting time but sometimes we just need to slow down and enjoy each moment of time we are given...
GEEE Linda....your blog sure got me thinking!! Thanks!! Hugs Barb
