Taking each day one day at a time

Monday, September 17, 2012

I am having to learn to slow down, take each day as it comes. Get exercise when I can and forgive myself when I am not able. Eat well balanced meals each day, and forgive myself when I don't. I am finding that if I accept my failures, I don't just keep on over eating, and ignoring my health. Fall is in the air, and generally has been a good time to begin walking outdoors again, so I am waiting on cooler weather.

Cooler weather would be much appreciated right now. And I am also learning to let go if I think I "messed" up on my food for the day. I am not going to berate myself as I am burning more calories than normal by throwing in some different types of exercise.

Now, if I could only get all of the ice cream out of the house and ban it from ever entering again, I would definintely lose more weight! But I decided to share my house, so I have to live with it.

Maybe I should eat the entire quart of ice cream in one sitting and then it will be gone. LOL! (Yeah, right. I know what happens next.... I ask for it on the shopping list!)

One day at a time, that's the best advice we can give ourselves and everyone else! That's the motto I've been telling myself too lately! We shall put our nose to the grindstone! emoticon emoticon
