This is what I must do. I have a good handle on the fat and protein, but now the stores of extra food or whatever it is that keeps me sane the first few days of a new way of eating have depleted and I'm just HUNGRY. Obvious solution is more veggies. And maybe another serving of fruit?

I started walking again this week. Feels good. I'm taking the day off today, daughter is coming tomorrow and we'll have a long, slow, steady walk.

    I try to eat a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig salad for lunch most days- the pre-washed organic 'salad mix' we can buy here makes for quick work- just have to add a bunch of toppings and voila!

    I could use more veggies too. I am so proud when I finally get around to eating a great big salad. At Wal-Mart, you can buy a box with 6 individual packs of edamame in the shell and that's a pretty good veggie treat.

    Nice! Walking is my exercise these days as well. I am also with you on that veggie thing. I do OK with fruit but that is because I have a sweet tooth...I need to up my veggies as well. emoticon
