So much has been going on ....

Sunday, September 16, 2012

I never expected to be gone for a month, yet I was. Our days are getting better.
Even though I didn't comment on Spark I did check in every once in awhile and you will never know just how much your love and support helped us get through this time of mourning. DH is doing well (so am I). This is a time when one would think the family would rally and put aside any differences, not so in this case, but we WILL move forward from here.

On a lighter friend Mary has finally left the hospital (129 days) and has temporarily moved in with her daughter (and family). What a miracle this is. For those of you who don't know the story I will give you the "cliff" notes: Mary had a brain aneurysm burst. Although she lives alone there was a workman there when it happened and called for help immediately. From there.....3 surgeries and many long hours of therapy ( more fine tuning still going on) she is walking, talking and still living her life....."Thank you God"

I have hundreds of emails to sort through and it will take some time to get to all of the mean time a big THANK YOU and HUGS to my friends and second family here on Spark. YOU are the best.

FYI: still within my (+- 5 #'s) goal weight.

Happy you are back.. Sorry about all but sure glad to hear mary is better. i am dealing with a 96 year old right now that her kids sure don't care to watch out for her. So doing what I can to help her. she ended up in the hospital this week falling, that didn't even bring the kids running. just upsets me so.

    Hi Barb,

So glad to see you back! I was hit and miss on spark since I headed up to Maine when dad went into the hospital. I really haven't been on spark much since I returned.

As for family, sad to say, some people won't change no matter what. Good for you for moving forward.

What good news for Mary. Keeping her in my prayers.

Sending extra emoticon to you and DH.

I am so happy your friend has survived an incident such as this, and thank God someone was there to call for help.

On another NOTE: times like this with a death, sometimes things can really get UGLY. emoticon and emoticon .....

My husband can totally relate to the family not becoming closer after a death in the family. I'm sure you are a comfort yo your husband as I am to mine and that is what matters most.

I am so happy about you friend Mary! It is a true blessing.

    Good job on the weight!

So glad to see that you are back. It is amazing how different people react to a death. I went through some similar stuff when my mom passed. Instead of working together there was a break down in family. Hope it heals quickly for you.
In the meantime, so happy for your Mary and grateful to have you back here. emoticon emoticon emoticon
