BLC20 - Plan with Pictures

Sunday, September 16, 2012

The point of no return.

I turn 43 next Sunday and my decade plus of being overweight & obese needs to come to an end. I have a lot of living left to do and I want to enjoy those years. My motivation is not just for me but also my son who at the age of 21 is obese.

I do this for myself but also for him. To show him what's possible with focus and determination.

The Plan - My plan goes past the 12 week challenge and is only the beginning. It incorporates, exercise and a healthy eating. I have a weight loss goal of 26/27 pounds. That's doable considering my current weight.

Exercise - The Number 3!

3 Cycling/Spinning classes per week
3 ST sessions
3 Walks of 5 miles or more

Will try something new. Once a month I need to step outside of my comfort zone and experience something different.

Healthy Eating

Water is my friend.. I'm starting to notice my bad choices on my skin. So from now until the end of the year no more Red Bulls, Salted Carmel Mochas or (GASP) Spirits. Water is the only drink I can consume, outside of Coconut or Almond milk with my smoothies.

There are four exceptions. I'm not crazy!

Vacation
My Birthday
Thanksgiving
Christmas

I will limit my eating out to once a week, that will help my budget and also my waistline.

Eating Clean 90% of the time is the focus/ultimate goal.

That's it for now

Chelle - I'm jumping up and down with excitement! No more spirits AND no more Red Bull!!! I'm so sure that will make a difference for you. Just remember that you only fail if you quit trying. emoticon

Great plan, Chelle!! Especially the decision to limit restaurants -- that's really helpful to any food plan!

Chelle, I am doing Whole30 right now - a strict version of Paleo - NEVER thought I could do that. Started week two today. Clean eating is a GREAT way to go and your plan is a great one. Don't be TOO hard on yourself if you break your "rules" on occasion - remember participation not perfection!

My son is 24 almost 25 and a chef and he got his foodie nature from me. He has lost A LOT of weight in the past two years but went through some overweight years after being hit by a car in high school. This is the best gift you can give your son! And you have quality time together making memories if you cook and work out together too!

Bring it!!!!

Chelle I really like that you are not only doing this for yourself but also to be a Role Model to your son! emoticon You have a great Plan.....
I know 'eating clean' for the most part has changed my eating habits...it is easier to say 'No' to Junk food.... emoticon emoticon

Sounds like you have thought this through and are making a great plan for your life not just the BLC. You are doing a good thing for yourself by drinking water instead of Redbulls. My 23 year old daughter lives on them. I am trying to convince her to give them up too. You getting healthy is good for you but good for your son too. Whether he admits or not he is seeing the changes you are making. From one Warrior to another, good luck with BLC20 and...

Good job Chelle. You have a solid plan in place and when your son sees how you are doing it he will hopefully follow suite. You can and are going to do this!

Sounds like a solid plan my fellow teammate. Good luck, I too have a son who is 21 and a daughter her at home who is 18. We've all struggled with obesity and working together to live a cleaner life for all. You can do it!!!
