I Added A New Habit

My plan for August 2012 was to add healthy veggie snacks. I wanted to make eating a veggie snack a habit. I wanted to add something good and not worry about taking away anything. Of course, I knew that eating a healthy veggie snack would lead to less other snacks.
It worked! I am very happy to report that my snacks are planned and fit in my eating plan. I now think about my snack and plan what I will eat. Unplanned snacks can be a problem. They usually end up being something with little nutritional value and high in calories.
This is a little win; however, this journey toward better health will be made up of a lot of little wins. As I push forward, I plan to add more new habits one at a time.

Life can be hard and we can make things a lot better by being kind to each other and ourselves. Leave the harsh words to others and stay away from those who like to use them. Kindness goes a long way at making this a better world.
