Discovering a beautiful village during my hike today!

'Tillard' doesn't sound too good in French. Not very elegant at all, quite harsh. Luckily, the village which is called Tillard (in the Oise area North of Paris) is much more beautiful than its name... See what you think...

I loved the black and white contrast with the dove in the picture below.

As I passed by this farm and its tractor, I thought of Sparkfriend LISALGB! I know they have a tractor on their farm in Tennessee and now I always think of Lisa when I see a tractor! :) (Don't be jealous, you are ALL with me on my hikes!!!)

One last view at Tillard's church...

... and here is the countryside!

Today it felt as if all the paths were going up! emoticon
I know, I know, it isn't possible, but it definitely felt that way. Hard work!

Another pretty village in the distance, Silly-Tillard (and its white cows!):

As I reached Abbécourt, I met these two horses. But the white one on the left was very shy I think as it never looked at me. emoticon

The path in Abbécourt was not easy! First (near where the horses were) I had to walk through the nearby field because the path was so entirely covered with bushes I couldn't walk on it! Hum. Then I really struggled to find the path to leave Abbécourt, it was very well hidden (and looked just like a path going to a house!)...

Ah well, it didn't matter, because on 'Rue du Moulin' [Mill's street], I found a beautiful house with blue shutters and door to show FITMAY! Enjoy May! :)

When I finally found the path leaving Abbécourt, after walking for a short while I discovered a gorgeous view on the church of the village of Saint-Sulpice (which is completely outside the village, that was interesting)...

The church seen from the other side...

... and the village of Hodenc-L'Evêque in the distance...

... as I walked through more beautiful late summer countryside...

(wild clematis)

(Oh my goodness, I had never seen so many blackberries!!!)

I loved today's hike, even though it was a 'short' one with only 3 hours and a half... It really was a gorgeous summer day. I made the most of it as it was probably my last hike of the summer: next Saturday I am taking the Eurostar train to England for work and I will be spending the weekend at my friend Liz's in London. I know it will be wonderful though (it always is with Liz!) and I'll make sure to post a blog about it!!!

[About work... thank you so much for sharing my excitement this week about my upcoming trip to Congo. I really wasn't sure at all I would get this photojournalist trip as I am not working with Africa (nor with communications) in my new job anymore. I am so happy!]

I hope you are all having a gorgeous weekend! Keep sparking! :)
