Ah, a good night's sleep. That's what started it. Last night, while watching tv, I found myself drifiting off a few times. I promised I'd turn off the tv at 10 because I love CSI NY. Well, I have no idea what that show was about. I ended up nodding off until the very end.(the same thing we used to yell at my mom for doing when I lived at home. SHe'd nod off most of the show, wake up and demand to know what happened!).
Usually, around 10, I get up, go to the table and read for an hour or so. But I was so tired at 10 that I decided to forgo my routine and slip right into bed. I used my lavender body cream just in case, and turned off the light. Then
, eyes wouldn't close. Now every night I go to bed with the tv on and last night was no exception. I see 10 min of a show, the eyes close, and that's it until the ol' bladder wakes me up during the night. NOT LAST NIGHT! I tossed and turned until 1:30am. I gave up and took one of those pretty purple pills the doctor gave me, back to bed and NOTHING!
Up again, played with Seamus for a while. Felt the eyes getting drowsy, ran to the bed......NOTHING. I decided that maybe watching "Man Caves" on DIY wasn't the best atmosphere for sleep so I turned the tv to the music channels - a soft classical one- and got rewarded. Vivaldi's 4 Seasons was playing. Sprayed a bit more lavender on me and went to bed. That worked! AMEN. I was able to sleep by 3:30am.
I finally decided to get to bed at a decent hour and got nailed. Maybe next time I should force myself awake and wait until my normal bedtime of 12. It doesn't seem like all that work was worth the 2 hours of sleep I tried to get
