I'm sure there are thousands out there with this dilemma. I have a job that is "energy consuming" and easily turns into 11+ hours a day. And of course that's not even enough as I sit here on a Saturday morning realizing I MUST drag myself into the office just to "catch up". Looks like Sunday will be a work session as well.
It really bugs me that I establish training (workout) goals at the beginning of a month or week only to find myself trying to pull away from work to get it done. Sometimes the thrill of achieving my healthy goals ends up being depressing instead of positive when work drains my enthusiasm. I must constantly "struggle" with control over work instead of it controlling me, but that's not always easy. With that said ~ I WILL get my workouts in today and tomorrow because Saturday and Sunday SHOULD belong to me.
