Today, September 14th, is National Cream-filled Donut Day. There are no other recognized unusual holidays today. It sits all by itself this date on the calendar, a square just for praise of the ooey gooey mess of cream-filled fried cakes.

Thank goodness I've never craved such a sugary treat. Or I might have been first in line at the popular donut shops this morning.

For me the WOW factor wears off after the first bite. And that is an alarming bite.

So, NO, I won't be celebrating this unusual national holiday, thank you very much!
