Today was the first day of senior college classes.
DH and I are in different classes so we went our separate ways. DH is building a computer in class. I am taking a course called " Is it legal" and I am doing a class for “strengthening mind and body“.
My legal class covers all of the issues seniors need to know. Today was healthcare issues. Things like Medical powers of attorney and advanced directives. Finding help when Seniors need a layer and we delved in to making wills.
It is a seven week class and I did learn a lot today.
DH and I met to socialize in the lounge with other friends and new students and we all had brown bag lunches. The time went by very fast and my next class was the body/mind class. We have quizzes and numbers and all kinds of games. We talked about the need for exorcize and balance issues and the last half hour was a DVD of Tai Chi.
I really like Tai Chi and we are learning the Seven Pieces of Brocade right now.
We finished with 10 minutes of meditation and it vas great.
It did of course take up almost all of the day.
I got up early and decided on a big breakfast. I ate to the max for breakfast nothing went over. I had Grape -nuts with soy milk. I had a sandwich steak from a box I had bought for the Grands so I ate one it was very good since I am a meat lover.
I did this deliberately because I knew I would be out all day and I did not want to buy anything I could not track.
I put apples in my briefcase and they got me through till the end of class. Unfortunately DH was running late and I was getting hungry so I had a cup of coffee and an ice-cream cone in MacDonald’s. I asked them to make it small and it got me through till we had dinner. Dinner was later than usual and that was good. I went to the basement and did Resistance band strength training. I walked 2 miles with Leslie and I had already walked a lot and fast with friends on the campus.
So Day 2 has gone well nothing of my nutrition went over the top but definitely near the top. Tomorrow I will be unable to walk the rail trail it is in use for a 10K so DH and I are going to find another trail in Brunswick Maine. Rain is predicted so plans might change. DH does not like umbrellas I do and I will walk with one if I need to in order to get in my walks. Pat in Maine is attempting to get to bed earlier. Good Night !
