Off the futon and onto my feet

I don't go on a lot about SparkCoach but today the visualization was about picturing myself making small choices to be healthier, and something that occured to me is I could set up some kind of standing desk for when I use my computer that I usually sit on the futon for. I went browsing around the house with a measuring tape and came back with cubby stack (about 34.5 inches high and some 2x3s. I plopped my lapdesk on top of that, and boom I have a standing desk!

I then finally ordered one of those balance blobs. I won't use it all the time, just when I play a certain particularly addictive deck building game.

    Great idea! I love the idea of adding something to burn calories to a usually sedentary activity. Great job!

    Great initiative. I've got a standing desk (IKEA Besta, wall mounted). I haven't used it much lately, but I when I do, I'm there 1 - 5 hours a day as I work from home. Adding an LED monitor on the wall is a real help, lots of screen space!

    It's in the sparkstore under sparkfitness. An anti burst balance board. It has some of the same properties as a BOSU, but a lot less expensive. I know I said I wasn't going to buy any more fitness stuff, but it is just little, and I still don't go down to the wii fit because my baby will eat spiders if I go down to the basement. :D
