Funny Tummy

Thursday, September 13, 2012

This is going to be a short Blog, my SP Friends. Since I had my esophagus scope done a couple of weeks ago, I haven't been hungry or thirsty. For those of you who don't know, I had my esophagus was stretched in two places and my tummy was red, so she took some biopsies. No results yet.

Have any of you experienced this result after a scope? emoticon

Any of you nurses or medical folks have any ideas? emoticon Or am I the only very strange person around?? emoticon

When I do eat, I feel weird--wait a minute, that's not anything new. emoticon I feel too full and sort of acidity. emoticon Do you know what I mean? And I don't want anything else to eat. I know this isn't good for diabetics--especially ones whose blood sugar is out of whack.

Should I be calling doctors or just settle down and let the time pass until my follow-up appointment?

Just color me full of questions today.

Renie

    Hi Renie,

Like you, I have had a lot of tummy and esophageal trouble over the years. I can recommend something to you that really helped with the pain and discomfort. The answer; Ginger. Go to your local grocer and buy a couple of Ginger Roots. Peel them, chop them into pieces, and place them in a pot of water where the water fills the pot about 3/4 ways. Boil the ginger root until boiling and allow to boil for about 15 to 20 minutes over a medium heat. Then, take the root out (use for cooking later or use as a flavor/garnish) and keep the liquid.

Drink the liquid. You can drink about a coffee cup size at a time and save any remaining water you have left. It has amazing soothing and healing effects and you will feel better; trust me. I have had ulcers, peptic ulcers, gastroenteritis, H-Pylori, and esophageal spasms all to which I owe my relief to this remedy. Let me know if you try it or if you have any questions.

Feel better!
Gigi

Hey sweetie..this is serious, wish there were some nurses here to help you out. I agree with the others, you should call the Dr's office and talk to someone who will talk to the Dr. for you. I'll be waiting to hear what is going on. I'm worried about you. Cause I care.

When is your follow up appointment with doctor?

    1. This is NOT what I would consider normal. So DEFINITELY call your Dr. right now and tell him/her what is going on! You may need to be on something to help with this.

2. You still taking the med you were on for the thrush?? You should be feeling better with that already, so if NOT, again, another reason to call the Dr.

3. Discomfort after the dilation of the esophagus IS normal, but not for this long!

Take care of precious you and call the Dr. Yes, it's a pain in the neck, but you need to know what's going on.

While I was talking to that Dr. I'd be asking about the biopsy results too! 2 wks. should be long enough !!!

HUGS

Anything that lasts that long should be immediately discussed with your doctor. I have no experience with what you're talking about, but I do know that you should drop everything and run, don't walk, to see your physician!

Get thee to a doctor, woman! (And get better.)

For two weeks?? Renie, do see your Dr.'s right away this can't be normal, what if there is an infection or something -taking a sample can always be risky, especially with all the bacteria in our guts. Please take care of yourself!!
Hugs,
Linda

I just had the upper endoscopy done - the only affect was heartburn for a week after they did the esophogus biopsy and a hoarseness in my voice that still hasn't gone away. At least the biopsy was negative so I can live with that. Hopefully your problems are because they had to biopsy the stomach, but I'm not a medical expert. I'm curious what the others have to say.

Hope you get well soon!

I had a scope in April but didn't have the response you are having. I do want to say I will say a prayer for you and I love the sweet spirit that you are that so easily can be seen in your blog. Hang in there!
