During the next 12 weeks, I will make fitness a full-time job. The payoff canít be beat! (As I am currently under-employed, this is perfect timing!)
We are the sum today of all our own choices - Dr. Wayne Dyer. In the next 12 weeks I will make choices that will cause me to be a better person. This is the beginning of the realization of one of my short- and long-term goals - to get in shape physically, mentally and spiritually.
I have pictures of myself at my ideal weight, my family, my favorite car and boat clearly posted by my computer, and my favorite motivational quotes near compute, bathroom mirror and bedroom mirror.
I will not let my team down. I will put for my best effort, not just participate.
I will spend a minumum of 6 hours a week on Spark.
I will walk 15 miles a week - at least 1 mile a day 5 times a week - and at least 20 minutes 3 times a week will be outside.
I will do strength training 10 minutes 5 times a week.
I will move it just for fun at the pool, or in my living room - dancing, hula hoop, whatever fun moving Iím in the mood for 15 minutes a day, 6 days a week.
For each 5 pounds lost, Iíll get a new O.P.I. nail polish and a fun new fragrance of body lotion from Bath & Body Works.
I will plan out meals 7 days in advance, to be sure I have everything needed on hand. Have smoothie ready in fridge at all times to alleviate any urge to munch or to curb hunger between meals.
My food already well-stocked, with a running list on the Ďfridge.
I will track all food and water consumption and exercise on Spark. I have been religiously tracking food intake and water for the last 8 weeks, will continue to do so.
I have a picture of my water bottle where my water bottle should be, which is near my computer monitor, so if I see the picture and not the bottle, then itís time to get the bottle!

For Me I will: Continue Journaling
Go to bed by midnight and be up by 9 a.m. No computer after midnight. To help me get to sleep, I will journal, blog, read in living room before bed.
Spend Ĺ hour a week making photo album for my parents for Christmas.
Use Bath & Body Works scented moisturizer daily.
Water aerobics minimum once a week - love that stuff!
Enrich my faith with inspirational movies/TV shows, books, as well as church.
Go outside at least 10 minutes/day to appreciate nature (no matter what the weather).
I expect to see the bigger picture of Spark. I am not in this alone. Spark exists because there are thousands of people who have gravitated towards this site.
I want to feel a better sense of community. Here, I am not alone, but I am a part of a network of like-minded, helpful, encouraging individuals.
No set weight I expect at the end of 12 weeks. Following The Plan will reap its own rewards, best of which will be a renewed confidence in myself.
What is important to me? God, Family, Friends, My Self. And I know that if I donít take care of My Self, Iím cheating everyone else.
Limit ďplaytimeĒ on computer to 90 minutes a day, freeing up precious time that need not be squandered but put to better use elsewhere in my life.
For self-esteem, I will read one book a month to bolster self-esteem, inspire me, or somehow improve my mental health.
Before I say ďI promise myselfď, I will stop and consider if I will be able to keep that promise to myself.
I will update this blog along the next 12 weeks, adjusting and tweaking these goals as needed.
