Yesterday, after work, I picked up my son from daycare, when home and changed, then we straight to the gym. I drank a 5 hr energry before I got there to give me some pep in my step after a long day at work and to my surprise I ran faster and farther than I have in quite a while! It may not seem like much to some people, but I ran two 15-minute miles, 20 minutes of strength training, then 10 minutes on the stair stepper for a cool down. I felt so wonderful when I got home, I've even lost another .5 pounds (although the last time I weighed myself was in the morning, and this was at night, so I may have lost a teeny bit more).
I felt so good this morning that when I got to work today, I was was offered some cake and turned it down as quick as I could and ate a kiwi. Instead of thinking "I'm on a diet, I can't have that", I'm trying to change my attitude to, "That's not really worth it, I don't want it".
I hope this continues, because I feel great!
