Water, Water Everywhere

Water - I finally get it. I always dismissed the "8 glasses of water a day" thing. Maybe it was a form of denial - I'd say things to myself like: "Yes, water is good but I drink enough" (about 4 8oz glasses per day) or "There's really no need to drink the full 8, etc." So, I created a new goal on SparkPeople to drink 8 glasses of water per day and started tracking. First week - not so much. Then I decided to give it a try. I have now reached a streak of 4 days drinking 8 glasses and I'm finding it to be very helpful in curbing my afternoon post-work snack and also in managing late night obsessive snacking. I find I have to stay on top of it - and ensure I'm making good progress - kinda foolish to drink 64 oz right before bed because you forgot earlier in the day! And I have to be aware of long meetings at work - people wonder about you if you take a bio break too often! But generally - this water thing is pretty magical. Now if I could just loose a pound....

    I love drinking water, but i try not to do a lot of drinking befor bedtime.

    You sound just like me. I did the drank too much before bed one night, I was up every hour. Drinking 8 glasses a day is a struggle for me too. I have noticed now that I am drinking more water I sweat when I work out like there is no tomorrow. Keep up the good work.
