Gone all VEGGIE!!

Yes I did I know as of today have not eaten any meat of any kind in 3 months..
WELL I will tell you yes I did put some weight on was really upset about it but get this, went to my Dr, she told me not to worry it will take time for my body to get use to it..well she was so right..
So far as of today I have lost 8.5 lbs YAY
I feel great don't miss nothing don't have any cravings nothing at all just like when I went on the low - carb way took some getting use too.
I am a cook which I do for a living yes I have to cook meats but it don't bother me at all everyone has there way & if I want to not eat another animal in my life I am ok with it..
I sleep better at night really I do, I have always wanted to do this so I did..
SO it is whole foods for me fresh or frozen veggies & veggie burgers are great love them..NUTS & salads YUMMY..
NO my nose don't wiggle like a rabbit either..lol
So what you waiting for give it a try see how you do..

    I went partial vegetarian back around 1999...I didn't eat red meat or dairy for 6 years! Then one day, I decided I wanted a hamburger and that was the end of that.

I did feel great but I also felt great on low-carb too. I think any way of eating that is healthier than just eating whatever you want to whenever you want to is good. And consistency is the key to success.

So whether it be, vegetarian, vegan, low-carb, low-fat, low- calorie, as long as you stick with it, you should feel better and see results!

    Congrats on your healthy way of living! I'm thinking about going veggie myself. The book "Eat to Live" was recommended to me. Have you been following a specific plan?? Congrats on the weight loss, too. -Marsha

    Wow! That is fabulous!! Well done! I never would have guessed you would have gained any weight the way you work out, and have other heavy chores to do! Are you sure it wasn't just muscle mass??
I have loved my vegetarian lifestyle for most of my life. I just never got into meat, it didn't have any appeal. Mom's big turkey supper was about it (but I really just wanted the dressing ;))
I am not a cook and prefer mostly raw, but of course bake the sweet potatoes and the like. Love the root vegetable season now. Mom made me a scrumptious veggie bake with curry using rutabagas, turnips, sweet potatoes, carrots, beets, was so colorful and so good!

    8.5 pounds is a lot--that's great!

Just curious, did your doctor recommend a veg diet for you?
