two steps forward one step back

Well, so proud of my workout yesterday. I had pain in the outside of my left knee while doing it but it didn't seem that bad. Well, this morning can't move it without it feeling like it's going to snap in half. I'm pretty sure it's Iliotibial band syndrome. Inflammation of fibrous tissue that is there. I did really push it hard yesterday. So today rest and ice and no work. Hoping it just needs rest. If not better by Friday I'll go into to doc. I don't want to make it worse. So bummed though. It's going to be hard to not have my cardio to help control my appetite today.

    Ah yes - pushing through the pain is not always wise! Hope the day of rehab helped...

    If you really want some cardio, look for some of the chair workouts. We can actually get our hearts going pretty well through arm movements - even keeping the knee elevated throughout.
