After a very thorough (I was there for 2 hours!) exam at the Chiropractor's, I have been diagnosed with non-traumatic pes anserine bursitis, along with badly mis-aligned hips, both of which are a result of me changing my walking pattern after breaking my left leg.
The x-rays of my hips showed that my hip bones are WAY out of whack. My left hip was sitting 14mm HIGHER than my right one! Which definitely was NOT helping the pain in my right knee and hip.
I did have an adjustment today, and was actually able to walk out of there and run a couple of errands with minimal discomfort. I won't lie though...I'm pretty sore now. I've taken a couple of Advil and I've got an ice pack on my knee. However, he did warn me that I could feel sore later. So, I've got 2 more adjustments scheduled (one tomorrow and another on Friday). I also have an appointment on Thursday with my physiotherapist. So yes, I'm now targeting next Monday as my return to work date.
I called my boss and told him everything I found out today. He was glad to hear that I had an actual diagnosis and that something could be done to fix it.
I just want to stop being in pain.
