I Still Cry...

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

I still cry on 911...

I was supposed to be there that day to meet the sales rep from the Marriott (which stood between the towers). I told Beverly that I hadn't been to the Zoo to volunteer in a few weeks and I needed to keep my commitment with them by being available as often as possible. Since the contract was signed, I could be at the Marriott in a few says - next week, I thought.

My friend Christi and I were walking through Central Park to the Zoo, and we heard someone on his cell phone exclaiming as he was told that an airplane hit the tower. "No way." I said. I was wrong.

By the time we got there (Zoo), the second tower went down. I wondered then how many more targets were planned. What place would be next? I knew we were being attacked. I didn't know who and I just started praying and contacting friends I knew at the Marriott. Naturally, the phones didn't answer and I found out later some didn't make it. We had a 3 year contract and I was on my way the next day with the check... it never happened... today I still cry :(

I will never forget ...

I am amazed to see, once again, the hand of God on someone's day to day life! It wasn't your time and you, and your family and friends can sure praise the Lord that He prompted you in another direction that day. I'm glad too!!
