I've had a simple goal for three years, to be more fit and agile at 80 than I was at 77, and now that I'm 80 I can see that I've barely made a difference. I try to get ahead but age catches up.
I did develop a program that gets me to exercise every day, resistance training and endurance training on alternate days. I still hate exercise, but I have to exercise every day because each day is different and if I skip a day it will mess up the whole schedule.
My doctor told me I should not lose any more weight. My current goal is to move about 5 pounds from my belly to my upper body so my little belly bulge totally goes away. Such a small change is hard to measure, so I can't set an intermediate goal. I'm just keeping up the program in the hope that I will eventually look good in skimpy briefs.
