I feel good. I walked more than my minimum. I started the 100 push-up challenge this morning, and I stretched. I'm about to jump in the shower, but I wanted to log this feeling.
It's a beautiful sunny day. When I left on my walk it was about 68 degrees out, warmed up to about 74 by the time I got home.
It's my day off. My day for grocery-gettin' and laundry and other errands. Stuff I usually dread, but today it will be ok.
I am so grateful for the positive influence of my husband, who recently trained for and participated in the Tough Mudder toughmudder.com
. He worked hard and he made it!
I am also very grateful for the SparkCoach program. Sometimes ya just need a hand to hold through the things you are scared to do. I'm an introvert, so hunting down a workout and accountability partner just is too much reaching out for something that terrifies me anyway.
This "10 minute a day minimum" is so freeing! If I do nothing else but climb on the treadmill in the basement for 10 minutes, I am successful. I have done my due diligence. Anything over that is icing on my (super healthy) cake!
This is a photo I took on my walk this morning. A local church has everyone writing messages in chalk around the town. This one says "You are Loved". It made me smile.
If anyone is reading this and is struggling, 1) know that you ARE loved, and 2) you CAN get moving for 10 minutes today. Once you do that, things will fall into place just a little bit easier because your mind can rest in the knowledge that you have done a concrete thing for your health and should be proud!
