I have been a coffee addict for years now. I started working at Starbucks when I was 16 and within a few months, I began craving the stuff (the high cal and just plain coffee varieties). While I quit working there 3 years ago, I've never been able to kick the addiction, and quite frankly, I don't want to. There's just something about the diuretic effect that I love in the morning. I feel like I'm getting rid of all of the bad waste from yesterday (which in a way I am), and just starting over new. Plus, who wants to deal with withdrawal headaches? I don't.

I was a coffee "must have" person for years & years. I wanted it hot & black! emoticon

Then I was introduced to the flavored creamers. YIKES! I wish that I hadn't taken my first taste of those calorie laden choices. I was hooked on them for quite a few years. It has only been within the past year that I successfully weeded the creamers from my life. I seldom indulge in a "cuppa" coffee these days; however, when I do I have it black or with a sprinkle of cinnamon in it.

I just decided that on this journey (which is for the rest of my life), I did not want to drink calories, preferring to put those calories to something more nutritious & filling.

My hot drink of choice these days is a nice hot "cuppa" herbal tea (generally green tea).

    God bless you!
