September Smoothie & Shape Up Challenge...Week 1 UPDATE!

You ladies have given me great strength & I appreciate it!

WEll, I need good the 1st 3 days and then I slacked for about 3 and them got my butt in gear for the rest of the week! Oh, I started a lil before the official day of Sept. 3rd!

I've done some juicing...1st time was a FAIL I should have used the tall Ninja so it was a bunch of thickness! LOL The second attempt was me paying WAY too much at the Laxy Acres market. 10.65 for 32 ounces of Juice Feast! Basically a mix of like 7 things.

I will do my own juicing at home LOL

Oh and today I'm steppin' up on my exercise. We're suppose to be exercising as well.

Okay, that's my update for week 1. Some people have lost weight, some lost inches, some stayed the same and others just feel better! I'm along the stayed the same...maybe it's my choice of meals around the smoothies...2 corndogs for 4/8 days...yeah I know not good!

WEll today, I plan on doing Zumba, FREE this week for our Park & Recs Open house Week. Tons of classes for free! WEll, I'm going to take advantage of as much as I can!

    Good luck! I have a Ninja, but really love going to my boyfriend's mothers' house to use her juicer b/c it's thinner than the ninja. Sometimes I am not in the mood to strain anything lol And some days I don't mind drinking all the pulp. But $10.65 for a juice is CRAZY!

    Glad to see that you change it up every now and again. I think it is good for us to reinvent what was once old to us to make it work for us in the long haul..

    To start I love you backgroud picture. Reminds me of when I took ballet manyu many MANY year ago.

Your doing great. You may have your ups and downs but just stick to it and you do better each time!! Best of luck this week and I look forward to hearing how it went!!

Update: I did ok for the beginning of the week and I made my smoothies. Somewhere during the middle of the week, I must have forgotten (lost interest) that I was doing the challenge! I ate ok, but I slacked on making the smoothies. This is a SMOOTHIE challenge, Kay! emoticon

So, I'll try again this week. I will start journaling the process. That should help remind me of my goals.

Exercise wise, I had a couple of good swims and a few long walks. That is a pretty decent start (restart) for me, because I haven't been consistent with exercise lately. So, I'm still in there with you!
