The weekend was a bust. Karen, apparently you were closer to the point than I realized when you mentioned perimenopause. Ugh. A shortened cycle is not my idea of fun, let me just say. I must figure out a way to, if dealing with it over the weekend, keep control and not let it get the best of me.

I had good moments.. high calorie burns on Friday and Sunday, so I feel good about that. Saturday I basically grazed on any and everything. I'll wait until the water weight is shed and see where I stand with things.

Here's to resuming normalcy yet again. Walk. Run. Gym. Lather, rinse, repeat.

    omg! I can so feel your pain. Last two months I've seen TOM 4 times!! I can't stand it. Wish I had answers, other than grin and bear it! :D I'm just sayin I can totally relate and you are NOT alone with this one! emoticon emoticon

  I'm all about figuring this out together. I'm luckily still on the pill, my doc says I can stay on it till I go into menopause if I don't have any other risk factors. Which really gives me insentive to keep my BP down. But, I know exactly what you mean...it's really hard to stop yourself from grazing. And I think it's because we feel out of sorts. I like the idea of juicing from Karen. It sounds like a really good idea. And another is maybe keeping your exercise moderate so your body doesn't think it needs a ton of calories, and so you don't have psychology going against you. Like...wow...I walk X amount of miles I can have extra. Just a thought.! You've got this Spark Sister...let's do this together.

    Chica, I'm doing one of those veggie smoothies every day right now and it's really helping. Maybe even with hot flashes which are milder now than they were a few months ago. You could pull out that juicer of yours and use it as an adjunct to your diet.

When I open the fridge and see that spaghetti sauce jar full of the 2nd serving of my smoothie, it is pretty easy to reach for that rather than go scavenging for other food.

    I think sometimes when we drastically change our way of eating, it can mess the cycle up. Seems to work that way for both me and my daughter. And if you gained weight or didn't lose, I'm willing to bet you didn't eat as much as you thought. Don't we have to ingest some huge amount of calories before we actually gain a true pound of fat?? If it makes you feel any better, I am growling like a constipated bear today. :)
